Data Collection & Storage

SpotTales does not collect or store personal information on our servers. Search history is stored only in your browser's localStorage and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

AI Service

Place names you enter are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate book and work suggestions. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data processing.

Third-Party APIs

We use the Google Books API and Jikan (MyAnimeList) API to retrieve book cover images and metadata.

External Links

Links to Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, and other services are generated programmatically. Each external service's own privacy policy applies when you visit them.

Cookies & Tracking

SpotTales does not use cookies. We use Vercel Analytics for performance monitoring, which may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data.
